British Ecological Society summer school – Every year the BES hosts an annual summer school for UG students interested in pursuing a career in ecology and related disciplines.  We want our school to be as diverse, welcoming and inspiring as possible and are hoping you will be willing to pass on details to your students.The school is open to 1st and 2nd year UG via application.  This year it takes place at Dale Fort Field Studies Centre (Pembrokeshire) on 17th-21st July 2017. We offer

  • A week of fieldwork including a trip to Skomer Island and a behind the scenes look at the research facilities onsite
  • Access to high profile ecologists from around the world
  • 6 great PhD mentors who provide an excellent social programme
  • A broad range of workshops, careers advice and support specifically for ecological careers
  • And a life changing experience
