Photography exhibition of British butterflies, from 2nd to 27th February at Harbour Lights, open daily 1pm to 10pm. The grand opening is on Saturday 2nd February 7-9pm, with a short introductory talk at 7:15pm.
Writing a better future, writing competition – Denise Baden from Green Stories invite you all to inter their upcoming writing competitions, she says “ solution based stories, or stories that smuggle in green ideas/characters in the context of an otherwise mainstream story are more likely to inspire greener behaviours than catastrophic tales of climate change. So as a way to raise awareness, we ask writers to check out potentially transformative solutions on our website http://www.greenstories.org.uk/ and integrate them into their story. We have a playwriting competition (deadline June 2019), a radio play/series competition (deadline July 2019), a novel competition (deadline August 2019) and other formats (film tv etc.). All are free to enter and we have prizes (including student category) and routes to production/publication set up.” Get writing!
