SEEN 4.12 Employability

Work experience

For those of you hoping to pursue a career in ecological consultancy, Hampshire Ecological Services Ltd (run by Biological Sciences alumnus John Poland) will be offering a limited number of voluntary work experience opportunities to shadow ecologists on fieldwork.
Hampshire Ecological Services hope to help address the consultancy ‘skills gap’ and give graduates a head start in a competitive job market. John says “We offer high-quality training and demonstrate how ecological surveys are completed to a professional standard”.
Volunteers will be able to get involved in a wide range of surveys but since bat and amphibian surveys do involve some late evenings and early mornings, a car is beneficial for transport.
If you would like to apply, please send your CV and your availability (for the attention of John Poland) to enquiries@hantsecology.co.uk. More information on the types of survey they do can be found at www.hantsecology.co.uk.
