Tomorrow (Wed 23rd Oct) the Biosoc seminar will be given by David Barlow, an Emmy award winning wildlife film maker on ‘Faking sciences for TV’. It’s on in 85/2207, 2-3pm.

 

1st year PhD student Richard Sands’ project is discussed in this BBC article, featuring his Forest Research supervisor Nigel Straw http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24297553 The project is looking at the oak processionary moth’s impact on British woodland.

 

Biology reading group – This semester we are reading “Almost a whale” by Steve Jones. Join us! Read chapter 2 for a discussion tomorrow (Wed) at 1pm in 4/3045.
