Volunteering position
The Cardigan bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay, Wales, contacted the faculty because they are looking for volunteers. “I am writing on behalf of the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay, Wales. Every year we have opportunities for volunteers to join us to help run our awareness raising, educational and research activities concerning the marine wildlife of Cardigan Bay. This includes undertaking boat surveys to collect data on the semi-resident population of bottlenose dolphins. We also have opportunities for students to conduct their own field work and research towards their undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. Although we are unable to pay volunteer expenses, we do feel that we can offer valuable experience in the field of marine conservation and we hugely appreciate our volunteers’ time.
