Ecological internship with Southampton city council – effects of artificial lighting on bats. This is the 10th year that this position is being offered, as a paid summer internship. We are ideally looking to employ two completing students, as you will have undertaken a field research dissertation. The Wildlife Trust will also be advertising their paid summer internships soon too (last year’s students gave their presentations last week, as advertised in SEEN). Keep an eye out.

 

Also as advertised last week, Melissa Howell from Hengistbury Head will talk to BioSoc about their internship and a year-long placement opportunity. This is on 14th February at 10am in 2/1089.

 

From staff contributor of the week, Jane Catford (thank you, Jane!), Application are now being accepted to attend the 2018 Undergraduate Summer School at Malham Tarn, Yorkshire.
Undergraduates in their 1st or 2nd year at a UK or Irish University will have an opportunity to spend a week immersed in ecology.
Deadline 2 March.
